Linux-2.6.12-rc2
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!

When looking into papers describing the + ANSI-SCSI-standard, this assignment of drives appears to be wrong. + The SCSI-standard follows a hardware-hierarchy which says that id 7 + has the highest priority and id 0 the lowest. Therefore, the host + adapters are still today everywhere placed as SCSI-id 7 by default. + In the SCSI-standard, the drive letters express the priority of the + disk. C: should be the hard disk, or a partition on it, with the + highest priority. This must therefore be the disk with the highest + SCSI-id (e.g. 6) and not the one with the lowest!
