Manual #include fixups for clashes - there may be some unnecessary
2005-10-30[PATCH] fix missing includesTim Schmielau
I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round. 2005-09-04[ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King
This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-07-29[ARM SMP] Ensure secondary CPUs see their pen releaseRussell King
Since the secondary CPUs will not be operating in symetric mode while they are held in the pen, we need to ensure that the write to pen_release is visible to them, by flushing the cache. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-07-11[PATCH] ARM SMP: Initialise cpu_present_mapRussell King
Rather than relying on the fixup code in init/main.c, explicitly initialise cpu_present_map. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-07-11[PATCH] ARM SMP: Rename cpu_present_mask to cpu_possible_mapRussell King
The kernel's terminology for this is cpu_possible_map not cpu_present_mask. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-07-03[PATCH] ARM: Remove machine description macrosRussell King
Remove the pointless machine description macros, favouring C99 initialisers instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-06-29[PATCH] ARM: Remove nmi_tick from integrator platformsRussell King
The nmi watchdog code hasn't been merged for this platform yet. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-06-29[PATCH] ARM: Convert ARM timer implementations to use readl/writelRussell King
Convert ARMs timer implementations to use readl/writel instead of accessing the registers via a struct. People have recently asked if accessing timers via a structure is the "right way" and its not the Linux way. So fix this code to conform to "The Linux Way"(tm). 2005-06-26[PATCH] ARM: Add SA_TIMER flag to timer interruptsRussell King

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
