2007-05-05[ARM] 4318/2: DSM-G600 Board SupportMichael-Luke Jones
This patch adds support for the D-Link DSM-G600 Rev A. This is an ARM XScale IXP4xx system relatively similar to the NSLU2 and NAS-100D already supported by mainline. An important difference is Gigabit Ethernet support using the Via Velocity chipset. This patch is the combined work of Michael Westerhof and Alessandro Zummo, with contributions from Michael-Luke Jones. This version addresses review comments from rmk and Deepak Saxena. 2007-04-21[ARM] 4275/1: generic gpio layer for ixp4xxMilan Svoboda
This patch brings generic gpio layer support to ixp4xx. It creates functions needed for gpio->irq and irq->gpio translation. It expects and initial value to be passed to gpio_direction_output() which has been introduced by commit 28735a7253a6c24364765e80a5428b4a151fccc2 in Linus git tree. 2006-11-03[ARM] 3918/1: ixp4xx irq-chip reworkKevin Hilman
This is a rework of the ixp4xx irq_chip implementation. The use of two irq_chip structures and potentially switching between them is a violation of the intended use of the IRQ framework. The current implementation does not work with current in-kernel spinlock debugging or lockdep due to lock recursion problems caused by calling set_irq_chip/handler from within the chip's set_irq_type(). This patch goes back to using one irq_chip structure and handling the differences between edge/level, normal/GPIO interrupts inside the ack/mask/unmask routines themselves. If at least one machine with PCI support is built, the PCI code will be compiled in, but when building !PCI, this will drastically shrink the kernel size. Patch from Lennert Buytenhek The irq2gpio array was recently converted from an array of ints to an array of chars (by patch 3368/1.) However, this array contains elements that are -1, and on ARM, the char type is unsigned by default, so this patch broke the GPIO check in ixp4xx_set_irq_type. Change the 'char' to be a 'signed char' to fix this. Patch from Deepak Saxena The expansion bus on the IXP46x NPU can be configured for either 32MiB or 16MiB windows and changing the configuration causes the base address for each chip select for each region to change. Because of this, we cannot hardcode the physical base as we currently do. This patch checks the expansion bus configuration registers at runtime to determine the appropriate window size. Note that this requires that the bootloader already configured the device sizes appropriately, but I feel that is valid assumption to make as the bootloader must configure and access the flash window, the output display (LCD, LEDs, etc) window, and other expansion bus devices. Patch from Rod Whitby This patch adds support for a new arm/ixp4xx machine - the Iomega NAS 100d network attached storage product. The NAS100D is a consumer device containing a 266MHz Intel IXP420 processor, 16MB of flash, 64MB of RAM, a 160Gb internal IDE hard disk, and 802.11b/g wireless on an Atheros mini-PCI card. Work on porting the latest 2.6.x kernel to this device is being done by the NSLU2-Linux project (the same team who maintains the port to the Linksys NSLU2 device). In particular, the majority of this patch was authored by Alessandro Zummo, based on the work done for MACH_NSLU2 support by the NSLU2-Linux core team of developers. MACH_NAS100D (as implemented by this patch) can be enabled in jumbo ixp4xx kernels without any affect on the other machines supported by that kernel. This patch applies cleanly against 2.6.15-rc7 and should be trivial to apply to later kernel versions. It does not depend upon any other patches.
