2009-03-19[ARM] pass reboot command line to arch_reset()Russell King
OMAP wishes to pass state to the boot loader upon reboot in order to instruct it whether to wait for USB-based reflashing or not. There is already a facility to do this via the reboot() syscall, except we ignore the string passed to machine_restart(). This patch fixes things to pass this string to arch_reset(). This means that we keep the reboot mode limited to telling the kernel _how_ to perform the reboot which should be independent of what we request the boot loader to do. 2009-03-09[ARM] pxa: introduce pxa{25x,27x,300,320,930}.h for board usageEric Miao
Considering the header mess ATM, it is not always possible to include the correct header files within board code. Let's keep this simple: <mach/pxa25x.h> - for pxa25x based platforms <mach/pxa27x.h> - for pxa27x based platforms <mach/pxa300.h> - for pxa300 based platforms <mach/pxa320.h> - for pxa320 based platforms <mach/pxa930.h> - for pxa930 based platforms NOTE: 1. one header one board file, they are not compatible (i.e. they have conflicting definitions which won't compile if included together). 2. Unless strictly necessary, the following header files are considered to be SoC files use _only_, and is not recommended to be included in board code: <mach/hardware.h> <mach/pxa-regs.h> <mach/pxa2xx-regs.h> <mach/pxa3xx-regs.h> <mach/mfp.h> <mach/mfp-pxa2xx.h> <mach/mfp-pxa25x.h> <mach/mfp-pxa27x.h> <mach/mfp-pxa3xx.h> <mach/mfp-pxa300.h> <mach/mfp-pxa320.h> <mach/mfp-pxa930.h> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.miao@marvell.com>

2008-05-08[ARM] pxa: Fix RCSR handlingRussell King
Related to d3930614e68bdf83a120d904c039a64e9f75dba1. RCSR is only present on PXA2xx CPUs, not on PXA3xx CPUs. Therefore, we should not be unconditionally writing to RCSR from generic code. Since we now clear the RCSR status from the SoC specific PXA PM code and before reset in the arch_reset() function, the duplication in the corgi, poodle, spitz and tosa code can be removed. 2008-04-19[ARM] pxa: separate GPIOs and their mode definitions to pxa2xx-gpio.heric miao
two reasons: 1. GPIO namings and their mode definitions are conceptually not part of the PXA register definitions 2. this is actually a temporary move in the transition of PXA2xx to use MFP-alike APIs (as what PXA3xx is now doing), so that legacy code will still work and new code can be added in step by step Signed-off-by: eric miao <eric.miao@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-01-28[ARM] pxa: fix mci_init functions returning -1Russell King

2008-01-28[ARM] 4737/1: Refactor corgi_lcd to improve readability + bugfixRichard Purdie
This patch refactors the code in corgi_lcd.c moving it to the board specific corgi and spitz files where appropriate instead of the existing ifdef mess which hinders readability. Fix spitz_get_hsync_len() to call get_hsync_invperiod so pxafb can be compiled as a module. The confusing variables which represent the inverse horizintal sync period are renamed to "invperiod" consistently. An incorrect comment in corgi_ts.c is also corrected. 2006-09-27USB: pxa2xx_udc understands GPIO based VBUS sensingDavid Brownell
This updates the PXA 25x UDC board-independent infrastructure for VBUS sensing and the D+ pullup. The original code evolved from rather bizarre support on Intel's "Lubbock" reference hardware, so that on more sensible hardware it doesn't work as well as it could/should. The change is just to teach the UDC driver how to use built-in PXA GPIO pins directly. This reduces the amount of board-specfic object code needed, and enables the use of a VBUS sensing IRQ on boards (like Gumstix) that have one. With VBUS sensing, the UDC is unclocked until a host is actually connected. Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2006-07-02[PATCH] ARM: fixup irqflags breakage after ARM genirq mergeThomas Gleixner

2006-03-31[PATCH] backlight: corgi_bl: Generalise to support other Sharp SL hardwareRichard Purdie
Generalise the Corgi backlight driver by moving the default intensity and limit mask settings into the platform specific data structure. 2006-03-21[ARM] Remove asm/arch/irq.hRussell King
asm/arch/irq.h used to be included from asm/irq.h, but was removed from the ARM kernel a long time ago. Consequently, the contents of asm/arch/irq.h (which mostly contain a definition for fixup_irq()) have not been used. Hence, remove asm/arch/irq.h. Some machine support files incorrectly included this file, making little or no use of the contents. Move the contents to a local include file, and remove those include statements as well. 2006-01-13[ARM] 3260/1: remove phys_ram from struct machine_desc (part 2)Nicolas Pitre

2006-01-08[PATCH] IRQ type flagsRussell King
Some ARM platforms have the ability to program the interrupt controller to detect various interrupt edges and/or levels. For some platforms, this is critical to setup correctly, particularly those which the setting is dependent on the device. Currently, ARM drivers do (eg) the following: err = request_irq(irq, ...); set_irq_type(irq, IRQT_RISING); However, if the interrupt has previously been programmed to be level sensitive (for whatever reason) then this will cause an interrupt storm. Hence, if we combine set_irq_type() with request_irq(), we can then safely set the type prior to unmasking the interrupt. The unfortunate problem is that in order to support this, these flags need to be visible outside of the ARM architecture - drivers such as smc91x need these flags and they're cross-architecture. Finally, the SA_TRIGGER_* flag passed to request_irq() should reflect the property that the device would like. The IRQ controller code should do its best to select the most appropriate supported mode. 2005-11-08[ARM] 3093/1: SharpSL PCMCIA Updates for Cxx00 modelsRichard Purdie
Patch from Richard Purdie The Sharp SL-Cxx00 models have a combined power control for the SD and CF slot 0. This patch adds hooks to the scoop driver to allow machines to provide a custom control function for this and such a function is added for spitz/akita/borzoi. It also moves the gpio init code into the machine files as this is machine dependent and differs between some models. A couple of warnings when compiling for collie are also fixed. 2005-09-13[PATCH] SharpSL: Abstract c7x0 specifics from Corgi SSPRichard Purdie
Sharp's newer range of Zaurus clamshell handhelds, the cxx00's are similar to the c7x0 series yet different. This patch series abstracts the differences and generates a set of common drivers that support both series of devices. It then adds machine support for Spitz (SL-C3000) and Borzoi (SL-C3100). Hooks for Akita (SL-C1000) differences are also added. The I2C driver for its IO expander is the only missing piece. This patch: Separate out the Sharp Zaurus c7x0 series specific code from corgi_ssp.c so that other models such as the cxx00's can share it. Create sharpsl.h which will be used to abstract machine/model specifics. This enables the driver to be used by the Zaurus cxx00 series.
