Direct access to USB host controller registers is considered to be not portable, and is usually a bad sign for poorly abstracted interface. Introduce .flags and .power_on_delay to "struct pxaohci_platform_data" so that most platforms don't bother to write their own .init/.exit() sequences. 2008-04-19[ARM] pxa: add partial keypad support for mainstoneeric miao
This is partial because mainstone's keypad is really special, some of the keys like '1', '2', ... are actually connected to two row/column juntions, thus pressing '1' is equivalent to pressing 'A' & 'H'. This is really brain damanged since it makes distinguishing between pressing '1' and multiple keys pressing of 'A' & 'H' difficult. So these special keys are not supported for the time being. 2008-04-19[ARM] pxa: use new pin configuration mechanism for mainstoneeric miao
1. the following code to configure PGSRx is no way portable and intuitive: - PGSR0 = 0x00008800; - PGSR1 = 0x00000002; - PGSR2 = 0x0001FC00; - PGSR3 = 0x00001F81; this is removed as low power state has already been encoded in the pin configuration definitions. 2008-01-28[NET] smc91x: Make smc91x use IRQ resource trigger flagsRussell King
smc91x is shared between many different platforms. Each platform needs to specify the interrupt type, and in some cases the irq type depends on more than just the build configuration - it depends on runtime checks. Rather than throwing this code into the SMC_IRQ_FLAGS definition, provide a way for these flags to be passed via the IRQ resource itself. Note that IRQF_TRIGGER_* constants are intentionally defined to correspond with the IORESOURCE_IRQ_* interrupt type flags, in much the same way that the low bits of PCI iomem resources correspond with the BAR flag bits. Also provide a way to configure smc91x to read the IRQ flags from the resource. Once all platforms have been converted over (signified by all definitions of SMC_IRQ_FLAGS being -1) SMC_IRQ_FLAGS should be removed. This patch removes the unnecessary bit number from CKENnn_XXXX definitions for PXA, so that CKEN0_PWM0 --> CKEN_PWM0 CKEN1_PWM1 --> CKEN_PWM1 ... CKEN24_CAMERA --> CKEN_CAMERA The reasons for the change of these defitions are: 1. they do not scale - they are currently valid for pxa2xx, but definitely not valid for pxa3xx, e.g., pxa3xx has bit 3 for camera instead of bit 24 2. they are unnecessary - the peripheral name within the definition has already announced its usage, we don't need those bit numbers to know which peripheral we are going to enable/disable clock for 3. they are inconvenient - think about this: a driver programmer for pxa has to remember which bit in the CKEN register to turn on/off Another change in the patch is to make the definitions equal to its clock bit index, so that #define CKEN_CAMERA (24) instead of #define CKEN_CAMERA (1 << 24) this change, however, will add a run-time bit shift operation in pxa_set_cken(), but the benefit of this change is that it scales when bit index exceeds 32, e.g., pxa3xx has two registers CKENA and CKENB, totally 64 bit for this, suppose CAMERA clock enabling bit is CKENB:10, one can simply define CKEN_CAMERA to be (32 + 10) and so that pxa_set_cken() need minimum change to adapt to that. support Add the ability to have pxafb use only certain fixed video modes (selected on a per platform basis). This is useful on production hardware such as the Zaurus cxx00 models where the valid modes are known in advance and any other modes could result in hardware damage. Following this, add support for the cxx00 QVGA mode. Mode information is passed to the lcd_power call to allowing the panel drivers to configure the display hardware accordingly (corgi_lcd already contains the functionality for the cxx00 panel). 2006-01-04[PATCH] USB: pxa27x OHCI - Separate platform code from main driverRichard Purdie
To allow multiple platforms to use the PXA27x OHCI driver, the platform code needs to be moved into the board specific files in arch/arm/mach-pxa. This patch does this for mainstone and adds preliminary hooks to allow other boards to use the driver. This has been compile tested for mainstone and successfully run on Spitz (Sharp Zaurus SL-C3000) with the addition of an appropriate board support file.
