2009-05-11ARM: OMAP: Fix printing of reserved memory for frambufferTomi Valkeinen
Print reserved memory only if it was actually reserved. Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
2008-09-06[ARM] Convert asm/io.h to linux/io.hRussell King
Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-08-07[ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King
This just leaves include/asm-arm/plat-* to deal with. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-08-07[ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King
Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-08-07[ARM] Eliminate useless includes of asm/mach-types.hRussell King
There are 43 includes of asm/mach-types.h by files that don't reference anything from that file. Remove these unnecessary includes. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-07-24PAGE_ALIGN(): correctly handle 64-bit values on 32-bit architecturesAndrea Righi
On 32-bit architectures PAGE_ALIGN() truncates 64-bit values to the 32-bit boundary. For example: u64 val = PAGE_ALIGN(size); always returns a value < 4GB even if size is greater than 4GB. The problem resides in PAGE_MASK definition (from include/asm-x86/page.h for example): #define PAGE_SHIFT 12 #define PAGE_SIZE (_AC(1,UL) << PAGE_SHIFT) #define PAGE_MASK (~(PAGE_SIZE-1)) ... #define PAGE_ALIGN(addr) (((addr)+PAGE_SIZE-1)&PAGE_MASK) The "~" is performed on a 32-bit value, so everything in "and" with PAGE_MASK greater than 4GB will be truncated to the 32-bit boundary. Using the ALIGN() macro seems to be the right way, because it uses typeof(addr) for the mask. Also move the PAGE_ALIGN() definitions out of include/asm-*/page.h in include/linux/mm.h. 2008-07-24bootmem: replace node_boot_start in struct bootmem_dataJohannes Weiner
Almost all users of this field need a PFN instead of a physical address, so replace node_boot_start with node_min_pfn. 2008-02-07Introduce flags for reserve_bootmem()Bernhard Walle
This patchset adds a flags variable to reserve_bootmem() and uses the BOOTMEM_EXCLUSIVE flag in crashkernel reservation code to detect collisions between crashkernel area and already used memory. This patch: Change the reserve_bootmem() function to accept a new flag BOOTMEM_EXCLUSIVE. If that flag is set, the function returns with -EBUSY if the memory already has been reserved in the past. This is to avoid conflicts. Because that code runs before SMP initialisation, there's no race condition inside reserve_bootmem_core(). 2007-05-09ARM: OMAP: FB sync with N800 tree (support for dynamic SRAM allocations)Imre Deak
- in addition to fixed FB regions - as passed by the bootloader - allow dynamic allocations - do some more checking against overlapping / reserved regions - move the FB specific parts out from sram.c to fb.c Signed-off-by: Imre Deak <imre.deak@solidboot.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-05-08ARM: OMAP: Sync core code with linux-omapTony Lindgren
This patch syncs omap specific core code with linux-omap. Most of the changes are needed to fix bitrot caused by driver updates in linux-omap tree. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
