2008-07-15[MIPS] A few cleanups in malta_int.cDmitri Vorobiev
Both the fill_ipi_map() routine and the gic_intr_map array defined in arch/mips/mips-boards/malta/malta_int.c are not used outside of the latter file. Thus, these objects can become static. Moreover, these two objects are used by the MT code only, which is why this patch adds the appropriate ifdef. While at it, this patch removes an unnecessary preprocessing macro in favor of the commonly used ARRAY_SIZE. Successfully tested using a Qemu-emulated Malta board for both SMP and UP kernels. 2008-04-28[MIPS] malta_int.c: make 4 variables staticDmitri Vorobiev
The following variables defined in arch/mips/mips-boards/malta/malta_int.c can become static: msc_irqmap[], msc_nr_irqs, msc_eicirqmap[], and msc_nr_eicirqs. This patch makes them static. Successfully build-tested using default configs for Malta, Atlas and SEAD boards. Runtime test successfully performed by booting the Malta 4Kc board up to the shell prompt. 2008-01-29[MIPS] Malta: use the KERN_ facility level in printk()Dmitri Vorobiev
This patch adds the KERN_ macros to printk() calls. Where applicable, spaces are replaced by tabs. These changes noticeably reduce the number of errors and warnings reported by the checkpatch.pl script for the malta_int.c file. Before the patch: total: 47 errors, 20 warnings, 354 lines checked After the patch: total: 34 errors, 7 warnings, 355 lines checked No functional changes introduced. 2007-02-06[MIPS] Define MIPS_CPU_IRQ_BASE in generic headerAtsushi Nemoto
The irq_base for {mips,rm7k,rm9k}_cpu_irq_init() are constant on all platforms and are same value on most platforms (0 or 16, depends on CONFIG_I8259). Define them in asm-mips/mach-generic/irq.h and make them customizable. This will save a few cycle on each CPU interrupt. A good side effect is removing some dependencies to MALTA in generic SMTC code. Although MIPS_CPU_IRQ_BASE is customizable, this patch changes irq mappings on DDB5477, EMMA2RH and MIPS_SIM, since really customizing them might cause some header dependency problem and there seems no good reason to customize it. So currently only VR41XX is using custom MIPS_CPU_IRQ_BASE value, which is 0 regardless of CONFIG_I8259. Testing this patch on those platforms is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Saves like 1,600 lines of code, is way easier to debug, compilers frequently do a better job than the cut and paste type of handlers many boards had. And finally having all the stuff done in a single place also means alot of bug potencial for the MT ASE is gone. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
