2006-06-09[PATCH] powerpc: reorg RTAS delay codeJohn Rose
This patch attempts to handle RTAS "busy" return codes in a more simple and consistent manner. Typical callers of RTAS shouldn't have to manage wait times and delay calls. This patch also changes the kernel to use msleep() rather than udelay() when a runtime delay is necessary. This will avoid CPU soft lockups for extended delay conditions. 2006-02-07[PATCH] Don't check pointer for NULL before passing it to kfree ↵Jesper Juhl
[arch/powerpc/kernel/rtas_flash.c] Checking a pointer for NULL before passing it to kfree is pointless, kfree does its own NULL checking of input. Signed-off-by: Jesper Juhl <jesper.juhl@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2005-11-03powerpc: Merge remaining RTAS codePaul Mackerras
This moves rtas-proc.c and rtas_flash.c into arch/powerpc/kernel, since cell wants them as well as pseries (and chrp can use rtas-proc.c too, at least in principle). rtas_fw.c is gone, with its bits moved into rtas_flash.c and rtas.c. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
