2008-04-29s390: use kbuild.h instead of defining macros in asm-offsets.cChristoph Lameter
New version that does not preserve the marker. Arch maintainers indicate that the marker functionality is is not needed anymore. Note you may simplify the s390 asm-offsets.c code further if you use the OFFSET() macro instead of the DEFINE. s390 has a strange marker in DEFINE. Undefine the DEFINE from kbuild.h and define it the way s390 wants it to preserve things as they were. May be good if the arch maintainer could go over this and check if this workaround is really necessary. 2007-05-09rename thread_info to stackRoman Zippel
This finally renames the thread_info field in task structure to stack, so that the assumptions about this field are gone and archs have more freedom about placing the thread_info structure. Nonbroken archs which have a proper thread pointer can do the access to both current thread and task structure via a single pointer. It'll allow for a few more cleanups of the fork code, from which e.g. ia64 could benefit. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
