2007-03-28sh: Kill bogus GCC4 symbol exports.Paul Mundt
__sdivsi3_i4i, __udiv_qrnnd_16, and __udivsi3_i4i don't exist outside of the ST compiler, so kill them off. This causes compile failures with other GCC4 compilers. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2007-02-13sh: Local TLB flushing variants for SMP prep.Paul Mundt
Rename the existing flush routines to local_ variants for use by the IPI-backed global flush routines on SMP. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-12-12sh: gcc4 symbol export fixups.Stuart Menefy
gcc 4 for sh changes the names of some compiler intrinsic functions and adds some additional ones. This patch adds the new ones, and fixes up various module symbol resolution issues. Signed-off-by: Stuart Menefy <stuart.menefy@st.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-12-07[PATCH] Export pm_suspend for the shared APM emulationRalf Baechle
The new shared APM emulation just like its ARM and MIPS predecessors uses pm_suspend() which was only exported on SH. Move export to close to it's definition where it really should be anyway. 2006-12-06sh: gcc4 support.Stuart Menefy
This fixes up the kernel for gcc4. The existing exception handlers needed some wrapping for pt_regs access, acessing the registers via a RELOC_HIDE() pointer. The strcpy() issues popped up here too, so add -ffreestanding and kill off the symbol export. Signed-off-by: Stuart Menefy <stuart.menefy@st.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2006-10-03sh: build fixes for defconfigs.Paul Mundt
Get all of the defconfigs building again. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: Add support for SH7706/SH7710/SH7343 CPUs.Paul Mundt
This adds support for the aforementioned CPU subtypes, and cleans up some build issues encountered as a result. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: __addr_ok() and other misc nommu fixups.Yoshinori Sato
A few more outstanding nommu fixups.. Signed-off-by: Yoshinori Sato <ysato@users.sourceforge.jp> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: More cosmetic cleanups and trivial fixes.Paul Mundt
Nothing exciting here, just trivial fixes.. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: APM/PM support.Andriy Skulysh
This adds some simple PM stubs and the basic APM interfaces, primarily for use by hp6xx, where the existing userland expects it. Signed-off-by: Andriy Skulysh <askulysh@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: ioremap() overhaul.Paul Mundt
ioremap() overhaul. Add support for transparent PMB mapping, get rid of p3_ioremap(), etc. Also drop ioremap() and iounmap() routines from the machvec, as everyone can use the generic ioremap() API instead. For PCI memory apertures and other special cases, use the pci_iomap() API, as boards are already required to get the mapping right there. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: export clear_user_page() for the modules that need it.Paul Mundt
Some modules seem to need this, so we export it.. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
2006-09-27sh: Various cosmetic cleanups.Paul Mundt
We had quite a bit of whitespace damage, clean most of it up.. Signed-off-by: Stuart Menefy <stuart.menefy@st.com> Signed-off-by: Arthur Othieno <a.othieno@bluewin.ch> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2006-04-11[PATCH] No arch-specific strpbrk implementationsKyle McMartin
While cleaning up parisc_ksyms.c earlier, I noticed that strpbrk wasn't being exported from lib/string.c. Investigating further, I noticed a changeset that removed its export and added it to _ksyms.c on a few more architectures. The justification was that "other arches do it." I think this is wrong, since no architecture currently defines __HAVE_ARCH_STRPBRK, there's no reason for any of them to be exporting it themselves. Therefore, consolidate the export to lib/string.c. 2006-01-10[PATCH] dump_thread() cleanupakpm@osdl.org
) From: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> - create one common dump_thread() prototype in kernel.h - dump_thread() is only used in fs/binfmt_aout.c and can therefore be removed on all architectures where CONFIG_BINFMT_AOUT is not available Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
