2009-06-17Merge branch 'linus' into x86/urgentIngo Molnar
Merge reason: pull in latest to fix a bug in it. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
2009-06-14x86: atomic_32.h: Fix kernel-doc warningsRandy Dunlap
Fix kernel-doc warnings in atomic_32.h: Warning(arch/x86/include/asm/atomic_32.h:265): No description found for parameter 'ptr' Warning(arch/x86/include/asm/atomic_32.h:265): Excess function parameter 'v' description in '__atomic64_read' Warning(arch/x86/include/asm/atomic_32.h:305): Excess function parameter 'old_val' description in 'atomic64_xchg' Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <randy.dunlap@oracle.com> LKML-Reference: <4A3467E6.6010907@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
2009-06-12asm-generic: merge branch 'master' of torvalds/linux-2.6Arnd Bergmann
Fixes a merge conflict against the x86 tree caused by a fix to atomic.h which I renamed to atomic_long.h. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2009-06-11asm-generic: rename atomic.h to atomic-long.hArnd Bergmann
The existing asm-generic/atomic.h only defines the atomic_long type. This renames it to atomic-long.h so we have a place to add a truly generic atomic.h that can be used on all non-SMP systems. 2009-04-07x86, perfcounters: add atomic64_xchg()Ingo Molnar
Complete atomic64_t support on the 32-bit side by adding atomic64_xch(). Cc: Peter Zijlstra <a.p.zijlstra@chello.nl> LKML-Reference: <20090406094518.445450972@chello.nl> Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
2009-01-11Merge commit 'v2.6.29-rc1' into perfcounters/coreIngo Molnar
Conflicts: include/linux/kernel_stat.h
2009-01-06atomic_t: unify all arch definitionsMatthew Wilcox
The atomic_t type cannot currently be used in some header files because it would create an include loop with asm/atomic.h. Move the type definition to linux/types.h to break the loop. 2008-12-14x86: implement atomic64_t on 32-bitIngo Molnar
Impact: new API Implement the atomic64_t APIs on 32-bit as well. Will be used by the performance counters code. Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu>
2008-10-22x86: Fix ASM_X86__ header guardsH. Peter Anvin
Change header guards named "ASM_X86__*" to "_ASM_X86_*" since: a. the double underscore is ugly and pointless. b. no leading underscore violates namespace constraints. Signed-off-by: H. Peter Anvin <hpa@zytor.com>
