2007-12-11[XTENSA]: Fix use of skb after netif_rxJulia Lawall
Recently, Wang Chen submitted a patch (d30f53aeb31d453a5230f526bea592af07944564) to move a call to netif_rx(skb) after a subsequent reference to skb, because netif_rx may call kfree_skb on its argument. The same problem occurs in some other drivers as well. This was found using the following semantic match. (http://www.emn.fr/x-info/coccinelle/) // <smpl> @@ expression skb, e,e1; @@ ( netif_rx(skb); | netif_rx_ni(skb); ) ... when != skb = e ( skb = e1 | * skb ) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2007-05-07xtensa: strlcpy is smart enoughJean Delvare
strlcpy already accounts for the trailing zero in its length computation, so there is no need to substract one to the buffer size. 2007-04-25[SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_reset_mac_header(skb)Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo
For the common, open coded 'skb->mac.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can later turn skb->mac.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in 64bit land while possibly keeping it as a pointer on 32bit. This one touches just the most simple case, next will handle the slightly more "complex" cases. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-12-10[PATCH] xtensa: remove extra header filesChris Zankel
The Xtensa port contained many header files that were never needed. This rather lengthy patch removes all those files. Unfortunately, there were many dependencies that needed to be updated, so this patch touches quite a few source files. 2006-09-28[IPV4]: annotate struct in_ifaddrAl Viro
ifa_local, ifa_address, ifa_mask, ifa_broadcast and ifa_anycast are net-endian. Annotated them and variables that are inferred to be net-endian. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2005-11-09[DRIVER MODEL] Convert platform drivers to use struct platform_driverRussell King
This allows us to eliminate the casts in the drivers, and eventually remove the use of the device_driver function pointer methods for platform device drivers. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-11-09[PATCH] xtensa platform-iss network: remove no-op ioctl handlerChristoph Hellwig
If the driver ever wants to add ethtool support it should use ethtool_ops. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@pobox.com>
