2005-10-30[PATCH] CONFIG_IA32Brian Gerst
Add CONFIG_X86_32 for i386. This allows selecting options that only apply to 32-bit systems. (X86 && !X86_64) becomes X86_32 (X86 || X86_64) becomes X86 Signed-off-by: Brian Gerst <bgerst@didntduck.org> Cc: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-09-09[PATCH] gratuitous includes of asm/serial.hviro@ZenIV.linux.org.uk
Removed gratuitous includes of asm/serial.h in synklinkmp and ip2main. Allows to remove the rest of "broken on sparc32" in drivers/char - this stuff doesn't break the build anymore. Since it got zero testing, it almost certainly won't work there, though... 2005-09-05[SPARC64]: Kconfig fix (GEN_RTC dependencies)Al Viro
Yet another architecture not coverd by GEN_RTC - sparc64 never picked it until now and it doesn't have asm/rtc.h to go with it, so it wouldn't compile anyway (or have these ioctls in the user-visible headers, for that matter). FWIW, I'm very tempted to introduce ARCH_HAS_GEN_RTC and have it set in arch/*/Kconfig for architectures that know what to do with this stuff - for something supposedly generic the list of architectures where it doesn't work is getting too long... 2005-09-05[MOXA]: Fix this driver properly.Al Viro
Actually, proper fix of that breakage is embarrassingly simple - it's yet another gratitious leftover include of asm/segment.h, so incremental to the previos would be removal of that BROKEN and removal of bogus include from mxser.c itself. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2005-09-05[PATCH] fix warning of TANBAC_TB0219 in drivers/char/KconfigYoichi Yuasa
$ make menuconfig scripts/kconfig/mconf arch/i386/Kconfig drivers/char/Kconfig:847:warning: 'select' used by config symbol 'TANBAC_TB0219' refer to undefined symbol 'PCI_VR41XX' Here is a patch for this warning fix. 2005-09-05[PATCH] mips: add TANBAC VR4131 multichip moduleYoichi Yuasa
This patch has added TANBAC VR4131 multichip module in arch/mips/Kconfig Signed-off-by: Yoichi Yuasa <yuasa@hh.iij4u.or.jp> Cc: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-09-02[SPARC32]: More dependencies falloutAl Viro
More stuff that got exposed to sparc32 build due to inclusion of drivers/char/Kconfig in arch/sparc/Kconfig needs to be excluded. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-08-23[PATCH] Kconfig fix (sparc32 drivers/char dependencies)Al Viro
since sparc32 Kconfig includes drivers/char/Kconfig (instead of duplicating its parts) we need several new dependencies there to exclude the stuff broken on sparc32 and not excluded by existing dependencies. 2005-08-23[PATCH] Kconfig fix (m32r genrtc)Al Viro
genrtc is not for m32r; marked as such. Probably ought to put that into arch/* - list of "don't build it on <platform>" is getting too long. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@parcelfarce.linux.theplanet.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-08-23[PATCH] Kconfig fix (epca on 64bit)Al Viro
epca is broken on 64bit; marked as such Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@parcelfarce.linux.theplanet.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-07-27[PATCH] ppc64: genrtc build fixAndrew Morton
genrtc.c won't compile on ppc64. Seems that ppc32 does support it though? We do this wrong btw - we should be selecting GEN_RTC in each arch/xxx/Kconfig. 2005-05-03[IA64-SGI] Altix patch to fix missing Kconfig dependency.Bruce Losure

2005-05-01[PATCH] hangcheck-timer: Update to 0.9.0.Joel Becker
I recently realized that the in-kernel copy of hangcheck-timer was quite stale. Here's the latest. It adds support for s390, ppc64, and ia64 too. Signed-off-by: Joel Becker <joel.becker@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-04-25[IA64-SGI] Bus driver for the CX port of SGI's TIO chip.Bruce Losure

2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
