2005-11-12[PATCH] fix b2c2 dvb undefined symbolPrakash Punnoor
This fixes drivers/built-in.o: In function `flexcop_frontend_init': : undefined reference to `lgdt330x_attach' [ Side note: I really dislike that dvb people want to include every possible frontend into the kernel - I only need the mt312 one for my Skystar2 card. I'd highly appreciate it this would be made selectable again... ] Signed-off-by: Prakash Punnoor <prakash@punnoor.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2005-09-09[PATCH] dvb: frontend: stv0299: pass i2c bus to pll callbackAndreas Oberritter
Pass a pointer to the i2c bus to the pll callbacks (stv0299 only). It was not possible to tell which i2c bus should be used if an adapter has multiple frontends on multiple i2c buses. Signed-off-by: Andreas Oberritter <obi@linuxtv.org> Signed-off-by: Johannes Stezenbach <js@linuxtv.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-09-05[PATCH] I2C: Kill i2c_algorithm.id (6/7)Jean Delvare
In theory, there should be no more users of I2C_ALGO_* at this point. However, it happens that several drivers were using I2C_ALGO_* for adapter ids, so we need to correct these before we can get rid of all the I2C_ALGO_* definitions. Note that this also fixes a bug in media/video/tvaudio.c: /* don't attach on saa7146 based cards, because dedicated drivers are used */ if ((adap->id & I2C_ALGO_SAA7146)) return 0; This test was plain broken, as it would succeed for many more adapters than just the saa7146: any those id would share at least one bit with the saa7146 id. We are really lucky that the few other adapters we want this driver to work with did not fulfill that condition. 2005-09-05[PATCH] I2C: Kill i2c_algorithm.id (4/7)Jean Delvare
There are no more users of i2c_algorithm.id, so we can finally drop this structure member. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-09-05[PATCH] I2C: Kill i2c_algorithm.name (1/7)Jean Delvare
The name member of the i2c_algorithm is never used, although all drivers conscientiously fill it. We can drop it completely, this structure doesn't need to have a name. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2005-07-07[PATCH] dvb: usb/pci: correct syntax of driver name fieldsPatrick Boettcher
Change the name-field of the pci_driver and usb_driver structs to the name of the module after compilation. It seems that this field is used in some places where special characters are not allowed. Thanks to Alan Halverson for finding this problem. 2005-07-07[PATCH] dvb: flexcop: woraround irq stop problemPatrick Boettcher
The flexcop chip often stops generating interrupts after some hours of operation. Apparently this can be fixed by resetting register block 0x300 at each channel change (this is not detailed in the flexcop data books). This patch also restructures DMA handling and adds a bit of debug code for the irq problem in case it still happens for someone. 2005-05-17[PATCH] dvb: modified dvb_register_adapter() to avoid kmalloc/kfreeJohannes Stezenbach
Modified dvb_register_adapter() to avoid kmalloc/kfree. Drivers have to embed struct dvb_adapter into their private data struct from now on. 2005-05-17[PATCH] dvb: flexcop: fix module refcount handlingJohannes Stezenbach
Corrected the THIS_MODULE handling for the flexcop-stuff and dvb-usb which lead to oopses because of misorganized module dependencies. 2005-05-17[PATCH] dvb: flexcop: fix USB transfer handlingJohannes Stezenbach
- driver receives many null TS packets (pid=0x1fff). They occupy the limited USB bandwidth and this leads to loss of video packets. Enabling the null packet filter fixes this. - packets that flexcop sends to USB have a 2 byte header that has to be removed. - sometimes a TS packet is split between different urbs. These parts have to be combined in a temporary buffer. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
