2006-01-09V4L (1007): Add support for KWorld DVB-S 100Vadim Catana
- Add support for KWorld DVB-S 100, based on the same chips as Hauppauge Nova-S Plus (CX23883/CX24123/CX24109), without the Intersil ISL6421, which is used for LNB control. - LNB voltage and tone are controled by LNBDC and LNBTone bits from register 0x29 of the CX24123 demodulator. - The MO_GP0_IO register from CX23883 is used to turn LNB power on and off. The following patch caused some duplicated code in cx88-dvb.c: [PATCH] v4l: 634: implemented tuner set standby on cx88 init The cx88-dvb.c portion of this patch was already applied in an earlier patch, entitled: [PATCH] v4l: fixup on cx88_dvb for Dvico HDTV5 Gold I love quilt and all, but AFAIK, no tool is 100% perfect for catching oversights like this. The non-overlapping portions of each of these patches are still needed, and must not be discarded, so rather than reverting old patches, please just apply this fixup patch to remove the duplicated code. Rename lgdt3302 to lgdt330x, to make way for the addition of lgdt3303 support in future revisions. I am changing the name of this module now so that hopefully the name will be changed before the release of 2.6.13 ... It wouldn't make sense to release 2.6.13 with the name lgdt3302 in it, which will only be renamed to lgdt330x in later versions. Select the RF input connector based upon the type of demodulation selected. ANT RF connector is selected for 8-VSB and CABLE RF connector is selected for QAM64/QAM256. This only affects the cards that use the Microtune 4042 tuner. - In CX88 code, some cards needs to have audio reprogramed after changing video channel; - Tuner autodetection code seems not to work on some cards. Now, no_autodetect insmod option allows disabling autodetection code; - Minor fixes in tea5767 to reduce integer trunc; - There are some new Pixelview Ultra Pro cards that doesn't use TEA5767 for radio. As autodetection is capable of checking for tea, radio tuners and addresses removed. - CX88 version number incremented. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it.
