Remove the vidioc_enum_fmt_vbi_cap ops: it was scheduled for removal in 2.6.28 since the v4l2 specification says that V4L2_BUF_TYPE_VBI_CAPTURE should not support VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT. non-tuner inputs When changing the standard the saa6752hs was not updated unless the input was the TV tuner. The saa6752hs should be updated regardless of the input. In addition the S_STD and G_STD ioctls for the mpeg video device didn't do anything. This is now fixed: they behave just like S_STD and G_STD on the video0 device. The BKL is now moved from the video_open function in v4l2-dev.c to the various drivers. It seems about a third of the drivers already has a lock of some sort protecting the open(), another third uses video_exclusive_open (yuck!) and the last third required adding the BKL in their open function. struct All ioctl callbacks are now stored in a new v4l2_ioctl_ops struct. Drivers fill in a const struct v4l2_ioctl_ops and video_device just contains a const pointer to it. This ensures a clean separation between the const ops struct and the non-const video_device struct. 2008-05-08fix irq flags in saa7134Steven Rostedt
Some files in the drivers/media/video/saa7134 directory uses "int" for flags. This can cause hard to find bugs on some architectures. This patch converts the flags to use "long" instead. This bug was discovered by doing an allyesconfig make on the -rt kernel where checks are done to ensure all flags are of size sizeof(long). Currently, the only tuner-specific device that allows special configurations is tda9887. However, tea5767 also may require some special configurations (for example, to specify a different Xtal freq). This patch replaces TDA9887_SET_CONFIG by a more generic internal ioctl (TUNER_SET_CONFIG). struct video_device used to define a .hardware field. While initialized on severl drivers, this field is never used inside V4L. However, drivers using it need to include the old V4L1 header. PCI-dependent videobuf_foo methods were renamed as videobuf_pci_foo. Also, videobuf_dmabuf is now part of videobuf-dma-sg private struct. So, to access it, a subroutine call is needed. This change fixes the following issues: - resolve the SECAM D/K vs SECAM-L sound conflict It is now possible to select the SECAM version either by the VIDEOIOC_S_STD IO control or by the new secam= insmod option. The driver now adapts its audio standard search list to the selected standard. - don't trigger a sound standard search when a LINE input is selected. Some chipsets have several problems when pci to pci transfers are activated on overlay mode. the option no_overlay allows disabling such feature of the driver, in favor of keeping the system stable. The default is to use pcipci_fail flag defined on drivers/pci/quirks.c. It also allows the user to override it by forcing disable overlay or forcing enable. Forcing enable may generate PCI transfer corruption, including disk mass corruption, so should be used with care.
