2005-11-06[MTD] writev support for cfi-cmdset-0001Nicolas Pitre

2005-11-06{MTD] add support for Intel's "Sibley" flashNicolas Pitre
This updates the Primary Vendor-Specific Extended Query parsing to version 1.4 in order to get the information about the Configurable Programming Mode regions implemented in the Sibley flash, as well as selecting the appropriate write command code. This flash does not behave like traditional NOR flash when writing data. While mtdblock should just work, further changes are needed for JFFS2 use. Manual #include fixups for clashes - there may be some unnecessary
2005-10-30[PATCH] fix missing includesTim Schmielau
I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round. 2005-10-29[ARM] Fix Assabet reboot with SA1100 MTD map driverRussell King

2005-10-28[PATCH] DRIVER MODEL: Get rid of the obsolete tri-level suspend/resume callbacksRussell King
In PM v1, all devices were called at SUSPEND_DISABLE level. Then all devices were called at SUSPEND_SAVE_STATE level, and finally SUSPEND_POWER_DOWN level. However, with PM v2, to maintain compatibility for platform devices, I arranged for the PM v2 suspend/resume callbacks to call the old PM v1 suspend/resume callbacks three times with each level in order so that existing drivers continued to work. Since this is obsolete infrastructure which is no longer necessary, we can remove it. Here's an (untested) patch to do exactly that. 2005-10-28[PATCH] Driver Core: fix up all callers of class_device_create()Greg Kroah-Hartman
The previous patch adding the ability to nest struct class_device changed the paramaters to the call class_device_create(). This patch fixes up all in-kernel users of the function. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2005-09-29[ARM] Don't include mach-types.h unnecessarilyRussell King
It's pointless to include mach-types.h if you're not going to use anything from it. These references were removed as a result of: grep -lr 'asm/mach-types\.h' . | xargs grep -L 'machine_is_\|MACH_TYPE_\|MACHINE_START\|machine_type' Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-09-11[PATCH] uclinux: remove use of mtd_put_device() in uclinux MTD map driverGreg Ungerer
We should not call mtd_put_device() in the uclinux MTD map driver. Also consistently use phys/virt fields of maps map_info struct, instead of mixing it with map_priv_1. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-09-10[PATCH] vfree and kfree cleanup in drivers/Jesper Juhl
This patch does a full cleanup of 'NULL checks before vfree', and a partial cleanup of calls to kfree for all of drivers/ - the kfree bit is partial in that I only did the files that also had vfree calls in them. The patch also gets rid of some redundant (void *) casts of pointers being passed to [vk]free, and a some tiny whitespace corrections also crept in.
