2009-03-27ath5k: warn and correct rate for unknown hw rate indexesBob Copeland
ath5k sets up a mapping table from the hardware rate index to the rate index used by mac80211; however, we have seen some received frames with incorrect rate indexes. Such frames normally get dropped with a warning in __ieee80211_rx(), but it doesn't include enough information to track down the error. This patch adds a warning to hw_to_driver_rix for any lookups that result in a rate index of -1, then returns a valid rate so the frame can be processed. 2009-02-27ath5k: move beacon processing to a taskletBob Copeland
We currently send beacons directly from the interrupt routine. This can hold up interrupt processing in beaconing modes and makes the ISR somewhat more complex. Move it to a tasklet like rx and tx. 2008-10-22ath5k: fix suspend-related oops on rmmodBob Copeland
Based on a patch by Elias Oltmanns, we call ath5k_init in resume even if we didn't previously open the device. Besides starting up the device unnecessarily, this also causes an oops on rmmod because mac80211 will not invoke ath5k_stop and softirqs are left running after the module has been unloaded. Add a new state bit, ATH_STAT_STARTED, to indicate that we have been started up. 2008-08-22ath5k: rates cleanupBruno Randolf

2008-07-29Ath5k: fix memory corruptionJiri Slaby
When signal is noisy, hardware can use all RX buffers and since the last entry in the list is self-linked, it overwrites the entry until we link new buffers. Ensure that we don't free this last one until we are 100% sure that it is not used by the hardware anymore to not cause memory curruption as can be seen below. This is done by checking next buffer in the list. Even after that we know that the hardware refetched the new link and proceeded further (the next buffer is ready) we can finally free the overwritten buffer. 2008-05-21mac80211: move TX info into skb->cbJohannes Berg
This patch converts mac80211 and all drivers to have transmit information and status in skb->cb rather than allocating extra memory for it and copying all the data around. To make it fit, a union is used where only data that is necessary for all steps is kept outside of the union. A number of fixes were done by Ivo, as well as the rt2x00 part of this patch. 2008-01-28ath5k: use SWBA to detect IBSS HW mergesBruno Randolf

2008-01-28mac80211: dont use interface indices in driversJohannes Berg
This patch gets rid of the if_id stuff where possible in favour of a new per-virtual-interface structure "struct ieee80211_vif". This structure is located at the end of the per-interface structure and contains a variable length driver-use data area.
