A scan run after association would change sc_curmode which is used to get the current rate table. 2008-11-25ath9k: Fix SW-IOMMU bounce buffer starvationLuis R. Rodriguez
This should fix the SW-IOMMU bounce buffer starvation seen ok kernel.org bugzilla 11811: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11811 Users on MacBook Pro 3.1/MacBook v2 would see something like: DMA: Out of SW-IOMMU space for 4224 bytes at device 0000:0b:00.0 Unfortunately its only easy to trigger on MacBook Pro 3.1/MacBook v2 so far so its difficult to debug (even with swiotlb=force). We were pci_unmap_single()'ing less bytes than what we called for with pci_map_single() and as such we were starving the swiotlb from its 64MB amount of bounce buffers. We remain consistent and now always use sc->rxbufsize for RX. While at it we update the beacon DMA maps as well to only use the data portion of the skb, previous to this we were pci_map_single()'ing more data for beaconing than what we tell the hardware it can use, therefore pushing more iotlb abuse. Still not sure why this is so easily triggerable on MacBook Pro 3.1, it may be the hardware configuration tends to use more memory > 3GB mark for DMA. Replace the internal ath9k implementation of multicast/broadcast frame power save buffering (AP mode) in ath9k with use of mac80211 ieee80211_get_buffered_bc() mechanism. 2008-08-29ath9k: Assign seq# when mac80211 requests thisJouni Malinen
Use TX control flag IEEE80211_TX_CTL_ASSIGN_SEQ as a request to update the seq# for the frames. This will likely require some further cleanup to get seq# correctly for Beacons vs. other frames and also potentially for multiple BSSes. 2008-08-29ath9k: Updated Beacon generation to use mac80211-styleJouni Malinen
This change moves ath9k to use mac80211-generated Beacon frames instead of trying to allocate a single Beacon frame and then update it. In addition, the remaining ath_skb_{map,unmap}_single() wrapper calls are replaced with direct pci_{map,unmap}_single() calls in beacon.c. Power save buffering for multicast/broadcast frames is not yet converted to use mac80211-style (frames to be buffered inside mac80211, not in driver).
