2009-12-11jsm: IRQ handlers doesn't need to have IRQ_DISABLED enabledBreno Leitão
Currently jsm is showing the following message when loaded: IRQ 432/JSM: IRQF_DISABLED is not guaranteed on shared IRQs It's because the request_irq() is called using IRQF_DISABLED and IRQF_SHARED. Actually there is no need to use IRQF_DISABLED in this driver. 2009-05-06jsm: removing unused spinlockBreno Leitao
This patch removes bd_lock spinlock (inside jsm_board structure). The lock is initialized in the probe function and not used anymore. Signed-off-by: Breno Leitao <leitao@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2009-04-06jsm: Fix the return variable and removing the unused retval.Breno Leitao
As it was, the retval was never returned, so its assignments were silly. Just consolidate everything to rc, and remove the unused retval variable. The function jsm_remove_one is used only wrapped by __devexit_p so define it using __devexit. Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <number6@the-village.bc.nu> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2008-05-01jsm: add new supported board to jsm serial driverScott Kilau
Add new PCI Express Neo/JSM board to the supported list of drivers in the JSM driver. Signed-off-by: Scott Kilau <scottk@digi.com> Acked-by: Ananda V <avenkat@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-07-11PCI: Change all drivers to use pci_device->revisionAuke Kok
Instead of all drivers reading pci config space to get the revision ID, they can now use the pci_device->revision member. This exposes some issues where drivers where reading a word or a dword for the revision number, and adding useless error-handling around the read. Some drivers even just read it for no purpose of all. In devices where the revision ID is being copied over and used in what appears to be the equivalent of hotpath, I have left the copy code and the cached copy as not to influence the driver's performance. Compile tested with make all{yes, mod}config on x86_64 and i386. 2006-02-03[PATCH] drivers/serial/jsm/: cleanupsAdrian Bunk

2005-07-27[PATCH] jsm: warning fixesV. ANANDA KRISHNAN
- updates the version - fix mixing of declarations and code. The mixing of declarations and code displays warnings when used against RedHat RHEL4.0 distro (compiler version is 3.4.3-22.1) and hence I separated them out. 2005-07-27[PATCH] jsm: use dynamic major number allocationV. ANANDA KRISHNAN
The jsm driver uses a static number of 253. The major number 253 is a reserved for "LOCAL/EXPERIMENTAL USE" by both char and block devices. So take advantage of the dynamic allocation of major number by the kernel. Signed-off-by: V. 2005-04-16[PATCH] fix up newly added jsm driverChristoph Hellwig
- plug various leaks and use after frees in the remove and initialization failure path (some still left) - remove useless global list of boards and use pci_set_drvdata instead - unobsfucate init path by merging functions together - kill various totally useless state variables - .. probably more I forgot Note that the tty part still generates lots of sparse warnings and there's still a totally useless layer of function pointer indirections, but maybe someone else will fix that bit up. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
