2006-06-08[PATCH] debugfs inode leakJens Axboe
Looking at the reiser4 crash, I found a leak in debugfs. In debugfs_mknod(), we create the inode before checking if the dentry already has one attached. We don't free it if that is the case. These bugs happen quite often, I'm starting to think we should disallow such coding in CodingStyle. Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-03-28[PATCH] mark f_ops const in the inodeArjan van de Ven
Mark the f_ops members of inodes as const, as well as fix the ripple-through this causes by places that copy this f_ops and then "do stuff" with it. 2006-01-09[PATCH] mutex subsystem, semaphore to mutex: VFS, ->i_semJes Sorensen
This patch converts the inode semaphore to a mutex. I have tested it on XFS and compiled as much as one can consider on an ia64. Anyway your luck with it might be different. 2005-06-23[PATCH] remove duplicate get_dentry functions in various placesChristoph Hellwig
Various filesystem drivers have grown a get_dentry() function that's a duplicate of lookup_one_len, except that it doesn't take a maximum length argument and doesn't check for \0 or / in the passed in filename. Switch all these places to use lookup_one_len. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
