2007-05-02[PATCH] ocfs2: use __set_current_state()Milind Arun Choudhary
use __set_current_state(TASK_*) instead of current->state = TASK_*, in fs/ocfs2 Signed-off-by: Milind Arun Choudhary <milindchoudhary@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2007-03-26ocfs2_dlm: Fix lockres ref counting bugSunil Mushran
During umount, the umount thread migrates the lockres' and the dlm_thread frees the empty lockres'. Due to a race, the reference counting on the lockres goes awry leading to extra puts. Signed-off-by: Sunil Mushran <sunil.mushran@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2007-03-14ocfs2_dlm: Missing get/put lockres in dlm_run_purge_lockresSunil Mushran
In some circumstances, this was causing us to reference freed memory. Signed-off-by: Sunil Mushran <sunil.mushran@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2007-02-07ocfs2_dlm: Calling post handler function in assert master handlerKurt Hackel
This patch prevents the dlm from sending the clear refmap message before the set refmap. We use the newly created post function handler routine to accomplish the task. 2007-02-07ocfs2_dlm: Fixes race between migrate and dirtyKurt Hackel
dlmthread was removing lockres' from the dirty list and resetting the dirty flag before shuffling the list. This patch retains the dirty state flag until the lists are shuffled. 2007-02-07[PATCH] fs/ocfs2/dlm/: make functions staticAdrian Bunk
This patch makes some needlessly global functions static. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2007-02-07ocfs2_dlm: fix cluster-wide refcounting of lock resourcesKurt Hackel
This was previously broken and migration of some locks had to be temporarily disabled. We use a new (and backward-incompatible) set of network messages to account for all references to a lock resources held across the cluster. once these are all freed, the master node may then free the lock resource memory once its local references are dropped. 2006-06-26ocfs2: use cond_resched() in dlm_thread()Kurt Hackel
yield() does not yield. cond_resched() does. Signed-off-by: Kurt Hackel <kurt.hackel@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2006-06-26ocfs2: temporarily disable automatic lock migrationKurt Hackel
Now we never change the owner of a lock resource until unmount or node death. This will be re-enabled once some issues in the algorithm used have been resolved. Signed-off-by: Kurt Hackel <kurt.hackel@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2006-06-26ocfs2: give the dlm dirty list a reference on the lockresKurt Hackel

2006-06-26ocfs2: purge lockres' soonerKurt Hackel
Immediately purge a lockress that the local node is not the master of. Signed-off-by: Kurt Hackel <kurt.hackel@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2006-06-26ocfs2: dlm recovery / lockres reference count fixKurt Hackel
Take a reference on lockres structures while they are on the recovery list. Signed-off-by: Kurt Hackel <kurt.hackel@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2006-06-26ocfs2: add a small delay after a failed migrationKurt Hackel
Otherwise we risk starving other threads. Signed-off-by: Kurt Hackel <kurt.hackel@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2006-06-26[PATCH] fs: use list_move()Akinobu Mita
This patch converts the combination of list_del(A) and list_add(A, B) to list_move(A, B) under fs/. 2006-01-03[PATCH] This patch contains the following cleanups:Adrian Bunk
- cluster/sys.c: make needlessly global code static - dlm/: "extern" declarations for variables belong into header files (and in this case, they are already in dlmdomain.h) Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com>
2006-01-03[PATCH] OCFS2: The Second Oracle Cluster FilesystemKurt Hackel
A distributed lock manager built with the cluster file system use case in mind. The OCFS2 dlm exposes a VMS style API, though things have been simplified internally. The only lock levels implemented currently are NLMODE, PRMODE and EXMODE. Signed-off-by: Mark Fasheh <mark.fasheh@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Kurt Hackel <kurt.hackel@oracle.com>
