2006-09-29[PATCH] Use valid_dma_direction() in include/asm-i386/dma-mapping.hRolf Eike Beer
Now that the generic DMA code has a function to decide if a given DMA mapping is valid use it. This will catch cases where direction is not any of the defined enum values but some random number outside the valid range. The current implementation will only catch the defined but invalid case DMA_NONE. 2006-01-11[PATCH] i386: make pci_map_single/pci_map_sg warn for zero length.Andi Kleen
As suggested by Linus. This catches driver bugs that could cause corruption on IOMMU architectures. Also I converted the BUGs to out_of_line_bug()s to save a bit of text space. Signed-off-by: Andi Kleen <ak@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-01-08[PATCH] Kill L1_CACHE_SHIFT_MAXRavikiran G Thirumalai
Kill L1_CACHE_SHIFT from all arches. Since L1_CACHE_SHIFT_MAX is not used anymore with the introduction of INTERNODE_CACHE, kill L1_CACHE_SHIFT_MAX. 2005-10-08[PATCH] gfp flags annotations - part 1Al Viro
- added typedef unsigned int __nocast gfp_t; - replaced __nocast uses for gfp flags with gfp_t - it gives exactly the same warnings as far as sparse is concerned, doesn't change generated code (from gcc point of view we replaced unsigned int with typedef) and documents what's going on far better. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
