2007-07-09sdhci: add ene controller idMilko Krachounov
ENE has a very weird design where an SDHCI device (0805) is presented on the PCI bus, but that device is non-functional, and the real device is hidden as a more generic device. Signed-off-by: Milko Krachounov <milko@3mhz.net> Signed-off-by: Pierre Ossman <drzeus@drzeus.cx>
2007-07-08sis5513: adding PCI-IDUwe Koziolek
The SiS966 has one additional PCI-ID 1180. If the chipset is using this PCI-ID, the primary channel is connected to the first PATA-port. The secondary channel is connected to SATA-ports in IDE emulation mode. The legacy IO-ports are used. The including of the PCI-ID into pata_sis is not sufficient, because the legacy driver in drivers/ide is initialized before pata_sis. 2007-05-31PCI: quirk disable MSI on via vt3351Jay Cliburn
The Via VT3351 APIC does not play well with MSI and unleashes a flood of APIC errors when MSI is used to deliver interrupts. The problem was recently exposed when the atl1 network device driver, which enables MSI by default, stimulated APIC errors on an Asus M2V mainboard, which employs the Via VT3351. See http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8472 for additional details on this bug. Signed-off-by: Jay Cliburn <jacliburn@bellsouth.net> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2007-05-31PCI: disable MSI by default on systems with Serverworks HT1000 chipsAndy Gospodarek
I've been seeing lots of messages like these: eth0: No interrupt was generated using MSI, switching to INTx mode. Please report this failure to the PCI maintainer and include system chipset information. On several systems that use the following Severworks HT1000 (also sometimes labeled as a Broadcom chipset as well) bridge chips. It doesn't appear MSI works well (if at all) on these systems. 2007-05-13[AGPGART] Fix wrong ID in via-agp.cGabriel Mansi
there is a wrong id in drivers/char/agp/via-agp.c #define PCI_DEVICE_ID_VIA_CX700 0x8324 It must be 0x0324 Notice that PCI_DEVICE_ID_VIA_CX700 is also used in drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-viapro.c and drivers/ide/pci/via82cxxx.c So, I think that constant must be renamed to avoid conflicting. I attached a proposed patch. Signed-off-by: Dave Jones <davej@redhat.com>
2007-05-11Add the combined mode for ATI SB700Henry Su
Besides those modes in ATI SB600 SATA controller, ATI SB700 supports one more mode:the combined mode. The combined mode is a Legacy IDE mode used for compatibility with some old OS without AHCI driver, but now it is not necessary for Linux since the kernel has supported AHCI. 2007-04-28tc35815 driver update (take 2)Atsushi Nemoto
Current tc35815 driver is very obsolete and less maintained for a long time. Replace it with a new driver based on one from CELF patch archive. Major advantages of CELF version (version 1.23, for kernel 2.6.10) are: * Independent of JMR3927. (Actually independent of MIPS, but AFAIK the chip is used only on MIPS platforms) * TX4938 support. * 64-bit proof. * Asynchronous and on-demand auto negotiation. * High performance on non-coherent architecture. * ethtool support. * Many bugfixes and cleanups. And improvoments since version 1.23 are: * TX4939 support. * NETPOLL support. * NAPI support. (disabled by default) * Reduce memcpy on receiving. * PM support. * Many cleanups and bugfixes. Add a driver for the IT8213 which is a single channel ICH-ish PATA controller. As it is very different to the IT8211/2 it gets its own driver. There is a legacy drivers/ide driver also available and I'll post that once I get time to test it all out (probably early January). 2007-02-07ide: add Toshiba TC86C001 IDE driver (take 2)Sergei Shtylyov
This is the driver for the Toshiba TC86C001 GOKU-S PCI IDE controller, completely reworked from the original brain-damaged Toshiba's 2.4 version. This single channel UltraDMA/66 controller is very simple in programming, yet Toshiba managed to plant many interesting bugs in it. The particularly nasty "limitation 5" (as they call the errata) caused me to abuse the IDE core in a possibly most interesting way so far. However, this is still better than the #ifdef mess in drivers/ide/ide-io.c that the original version included (well, it had much more mess)... 2007-02-04mmc: Power quirk for ENE controllersDarren Salt
Support for these devices was broken for 2.6.18-rc1 and later by commit 146ad66eac836c0b976c98f428d73e1f6a75270d, which added voltage level support. This restores the previous behaviour for these devices by ensuring that when the voltage is changed, only one write to set the voltage is performed. It may be that both writes are needed if the voltage is being changed between two non-zero values or that it's safe to ensure that only one write is done if the hardware only supports one voltage; I don't know whether either is the case nor can I test since I have only the one SD reader (1524:0550), and it supports just the one voltage.
