2009-09-30jbd2: Use tracepoints for history fileTheodore Ts'o
The /proc/fs/jbd2/<dev>/history was maintained manually; by using tracepoints, we can get all of the existing functionality of the /proc file plus extra capabilities thanks to the ftrace infrastructure. We save memory as a bonus. Signed-off-by: "Theodore Ts'o" <tytso@mit.edu>
2009-09-17ext4: fix tracepoint format string warningsTheodore Ts'o
Unlike on some other architectures ino_t is an unsigned int on s390. So add an explicit cast to avoid lots of compile warnings: In file included from include/trace/ftrace.h:285, from include/trace/define_trace.h:61, from include/trace/events/ext4.h:711, from fs/ext4/super.c:50: include/trace/events/ext4.h: In function 'ftrace_raw_output_ext4_free_inode': include/trace/events/ext4.h:12: warning: format '%lu' expects type 'long unsigned int', but argument 4 has type 'ino_t' Signed-off-by: Heiko Carstens <heiko.carstens@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: "Theodore Ts'o" <tytso@mit.edu>
2009-07-13tracing/events: Move TRACE_SYSTEM outside of include guardLi Zefan
If TRACE_INCLDUE_FILE is defined, <trace/events/TRACE_INCLUDE_FILE.h> will be included and compiled, otherwise it will be <trace/events/TRACE_SYSTEM.h> So TRACE_SYSTEM should be defined outside of #if proctection, just like TRACE_INCLUDE_FILE. Imaging this scenario: #include <trace/events/foo.h> -> TRACE_SYSTEM == foo ... #include <trace/events/bar.h> -> TRACE_SYSTEM == bar ... #define CREATE_TRACE_POINTS #include <trace/events/foo.h> -> TRACE_SYSTEM == bar !!! and then bar.h will be included and compiled.
