2007-02-14[PATCH] sysctl: remove insert_at_head from register_sysctlEric W. Biederman
The semantic effect of insert_at_head is that it would allow new registered sysctl entries to override existing sysctl entries of the same name. Which is pain for caching and the proc interface never implemented. I have done an audit and discovered that none of the current users of register_sysctl care as (excpet for directories) they do not register duplicate sysctl entries. So this patch simply removes the support for overriding existing entries in the sys_sysctl interface since no one uses it or cares and it makes future enhancments harder. Signed-off-by: Eric W. 2006-03-19[AX.25]: Fix potencial memory hole.Ralf Baechle DL5RB
If the AX.25 dialect chosen by the sysadmin is set to DAMA master / 3 (or DAMA slave / 2, if CONFIG_AX25_DAMA_SLAVE=n) ax25_kick() will fall through the switch statement without calling ax25_send_iframe() or any other function that would eventually free skbn thus leaking the packet. Fix by restricting the sysctl inferface to allow only actually supported AX.25 dialects. The system administration mistake needed for this to happen is rather unlikely, so this is an uncritical hole. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
