from the board, so we don't need the member for it.

as long as the io channel number is not set by the driver, the card
is not visible from the ethersound network

We're about to make DMA_nnBIT_MASK() emit `deprecated' warnings. Convert the
remaining stragglers which are visible to the x86_64 build.
