From 183d020258dfd08178a05c6793dae10409db8abb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Benjamin Herrenschmidt Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2005 14:29:02 +1100 Subject: [PATCH] ppc64: SMU partition recovery This patch adds the ability to the SMU driver to recover missing calibration partitions from the SMU chip itself. It also adds some dynamic mecanism to /proc/device-tree so that new properties are visible to userland. Then fill it with pointers to your function. Then do read from file you've opened and if you are lucky, you'll get it called as ->proc_handler() in kernel mode. So this is at least an Oops and possibly more. It does depend on an interface going away though, so less of a security risk than it would otherwise be.
