2008-04-24[POWERPC] celleb: Consolidate io-workarounds codeIshizaki Kou

2008-01-25[POWERPC] Have celleb use its own dma_direct_offset variableMichael Ellerman
Rather than using the global variable, have celleb use its own variable to store the direct DMA offset. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Acked-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2008-01-25[POWERPC] Add celleb_dma_dev_setup()Michael Ellerman
Celleb always uses dma_direct_ops, and sets dma_direct_offset, so it too should set dma_data to dma_direct_offset. Currently there's no pci_dma_dev_setup() routine for Celleb so add one. 2008-01-17[POWERPC] Add of_find_matching_node() helper functionGrant Likely
Similar to of_find_compatible_node(), of_find_matching_node() and for_each_matching_node() allow you to iterate over the device tree looking for specific nodes, except that they take of_device_id tables instead of strings. This also moves of_match_node() from driver/of/device.c to driver/of/base.c to colocate it with the of_find_matching_node which depends on it. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2007-12-20[POWERPC] celleb: Split machine definitionIshizaki Kou
This splits the machine definition for celleb into two definitions, one for celleb_beat, and the other for celleb_native. Though this looks complex because of sorting some functions, there are no more semantic changes than that for the splitting. 2007-10-12[POWERPC] Use 1TB segmentsPaul Mackerras
This makes the kernel use 1TB segments for all kernel mappings and for user addresses of 1TB and above, on machines which support them (currently POWER5+, POWER6 and PA6T). We detect that the machine supports 1TB segments by looking at the ibm,processor-segment-sizes property in the device tree. We don't currently use 1TB segments for user addresses < 1T, since that would effectively prevent 32-bit processes from using huge pages unless we also had a way to revert to using 256MB segments. That would be possible but would involve extra complications (such as keeping track of which segment size was used when HPTEs were inserted) and is not addressed here. Parts of this patch were originally written by Ben Herrenschmidt. Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2007-10-11[POWERPC] Platforms shouldn't mess with ROOT_DEVGrant Likely

2007-10-03[POWERPC] Celleb: update for PCIIshizaki Kou
This adds support for the PCI bus on Celleb with new "I/O routines for PowerPC." External PCI on Celleb must do explicit synchronization with devices (Bus has no automatic synchronization feature). 2007-10-03[POWERPC] Celleb: New HTAB Guest OS Interface on BeatIshizaki Kou
This changes the Celleb code to work with new Guest OS Interface to tweak HTAB on Beat. It detects old and new Guest OS Interfaces automatically. 2007-10-03[POWERPC] Celleb: Support for Power/Reset buttonsIshizaki Kou
This supports Power/Reset buttons on Beat on Celleb. On Beat, we have an event from Beat if Power button or Reset button is pressed. This patch catches the event and convert it to a signal to INIT process by calling ctrl_alt_del() function. /sbin/inittab have no entry to turn the machine power off so we have to detect if power button is pressed or not internally in our driver. This idea is taken from PS3's event handling subsystem. 2007-09-14[POWERPC] Invert null match behaviour for irq_hostsMichael Ellerman
Currently if you don't specify a match callback for your irq_host it's assumed you match everything. This is a kind of opt-out approach, and turns out to be the exception rather than the rule. So change the semantics to be opt-in, ie. you don't match anything unless you provide a match callback. This in itself isn't very useful, but will allow us to provide a default match implementation in a subsequent patch. 2007-09-14[POWERPC] Add an optional device_node pointer to the irq_hostMichael Ellerman
The majority of irq_host implementations (3 out of 4) are associated with a device_node, and need to stash it somewhere. Rather than having it somewhere different for each host, add an optional device_node pointer to the irq_host structure. 2007-08-17[POWERPC] Init markings for cellebIshizaki Kou

2007-05-10[POWERPC] celleb: Fix PCI config space accesses to subordinate busesIshizaki Kou

2007-05-10[POWERPC] celleb: Fix support for multiple PCI domainsIshizaki Kou
Celleb has multiple PCI host bridges (phbs). Previous boot logic gives non-overlapped bus IDs between PCI host bridges so you can identify PHB by bus ID. But newer boot logic gives same bus ID between PHBs (it gives bus ID 0 as root bus.) So we have to set 'phb->buid' as non-zero. 2007-04-27[POWERPC] Generic check_legacy_ioportOlaf Hering
check_legacy_ioport makes only sense on PREP, CHRP and pSeries. They may have an isa node with PS/2, parport, floppy and serial ports. 2007-03-08[POWERPC] Celleb: bug fix caused by not casting pointer typesIshizaki Kou
This fixes a bug caused by changes of pointer type in commit f1fda89522c5aaa1bd4ef69605e85e6ee9c85faf. hose->cfg_addr type is "volatile unsigned int __iomem *", so "hose->cfg_addr + X" will not make an intended address. This patch also adds comments for usage of cfg_addr and cfg_data in pci_controller structure. We use them in irregular way, and the original code is short of explanations about them. 2007-02-16[POWERPC] celleb: fix scc_uhc.c dependencyIshizaki Kou
